Robert C. ‘Bob’ Covey
OWNER
A decade after Robert Mondavi established Napa Valley's first post-prohibition winery in 1966, Bob Covey began working on the front lines of Napa Valley and the North Bay's construction industry. For over forty years, he has developed some of the most notable wineries, vineyards, civic and residential projects in the area.
Born and raised in St. Helena, the heart of Napa County, Bob has a hardworking reputation and extensive personal and professional knowledge of the Napa Valley. He has built the last half of his career at Taylor Bailey Construction, Inc. and has been instrumental in the company’s growth and stability. Bob joined Taylor Bailey in 2000, after having spent twenty-three years at Harold Smith & Sons General Contracting as a Foreman and Operator. He has worked in nearly every capacity of the sub-contracting construction business from Estimator and Operations Manager to his current role as Owner and Managing Director.
Brian Smith
ESTIMATOR
A Napa Valley native with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University - Chico, Brian Smith joined his family at Harold Smith & Sons General Contracting in 1970. In 1980, he became Kiewit Corporation’s (formerly known as Peter Kiewit Son’s, Inc.) Senior Estimator and Project Manager before departing to join Taylor Bailey Construction, Inc. in 2000.
Brian, an exceptional Construction Estimator and Project Manager, is responsible for the management of all pre-construction activities. Brian’s leadership and experience are a vital component of Taylor Bailey Construction’s tradition of success.
